Job Title: Server - VT Operator: e.sat (Johannesburg Newsroom)
Reporting to the Head: Technical Operations, News your key performance areas will include:
calculate duration of shots and giving count downs
digitize
execute master recordings (shadow recordings) and stripe tapes
insert, pick up and assemble editing
load and play out inserts/programs off tape from VT machine or off server
make a play list for transmission
monitor and adjust video levels
monitor audio levels
operate media play out systems
select required shots for screen grabs or story headers
Requirements:
Knowledge of:
video basics
computer literate e.g. MS Office (word & excel)
